B.M.E. Best Monday Ever

Apartment 2 at Bunkhouse planned out the entire Monday we got off of classes. The morning, they had a big ultimate frisbee game in the park. Next, there was bridge jumping and swimming at Monkey rock. Last, they had a bonfire that night out at the dunes. It was a prefect way to end the three day weekend and great for relieving stress. However, the guys who put together the entire day had a surprise for everyone. We all showed up to money rock and got a show. Three of the guys from Apartment 2 were in speedos. Girls went hysterical about how it was immodest and inappropriate. Though I do agree that it was odd, I thought it was pretty funny. (Speedos not shown below for your own safety.)

Water Fiiiiight!!!

There were Many water fights this semester, mostly between Royal Crest and Bunkhouse. This particular one, we got some pictures. It was only between us and some of our FHE sisters and brothers. It gave us all a break from the heat. Which was nice since Rexburg doesn't really have any places to swim, like Maine :(

Leisurely Horseback ride?...not quite

My first horseback riding experience ever! Didn't go quite as planned. The Lava boys, as we call them invited us to go horseback riding. I was all excited, since I'd never been before. However, Luis decided to give me the horse named Bucko. This, instantly put a big Caution sign in my head. I mean, if the horse was a nice little trotting, slow horse, why would they name him Bucko...?

The ride started out nicely. We trotted along in a line of twos but every now and then, Bucko got bored and decided to gallop ahead. I had no idea how to ride him when he wasn't just walking. It was quite the experience. But, it was definitely fun! And the scenery was gorgeous.
